Breeding Goals
Linear Improvements: Always hard to breed a maiden doe. Based on her Dam & 3/4 sister we can make a few educated guesses. Tinker will likely need improvements in Fore-Udder, Udder Height & Rump Width. She currently has a rump width of 5.25" about a 20, which is age approriate. Rapha does not have a Type Eval yet, we currently have 7 of his daughters. I could be accused of hoarding his girls. Rapha's only daughter to freshen & appraise had clear improvements in RUH (10 point higher than Dam) & UD (9 points higher than Dam).

Structural Improvements: Tinker is a nice little goat structurally, no glaring major issues to improve on. She has her sires nice Back. She could use improvements to Head as she did not get her sires's head. Her Dam has a V in Rump. Her 3/4 Sister has a G in Rump. Both have had their rump width increase over the last year and that will be refected in their 2027 LA scores. Feels like Tinker's rump width will improve over the next two years, however it likely will not be one of her strengths.

Show vs Milk: This breeding is mainly a consolidation on Milk Lines. Goldfinch was one of our founding does and she could milk! She has only had two granddaughters that could match her while she was still alive. Goldfinch did have a GCH win as junior kid. Rapha's Dam & DD also have their permanment championships.

Breakdown: Linear numbers may not be that strong, but Rapha was crossed twice on Stella, Tinker's 3/4 Sib, with very nice results. This cross should yeild very nice results.

AI Linear Match Breeding Goals
Linear Improvements: Sprinkles could use improvements in FUA, RUH & RUA according to her 2025 appraisal. As Voyager does not have any daughters who have appraised, one looks his dam & sire. In FUA, RUH & RUA both his dam & sire have very nice linear results. I have just one photo of Sprinkles' FF Udder on the stand. Not the best photo, will get better ones this spring. Sprinkles dam, Lola, has not had a full appraisal since she was a 2 year-old 2F. Lola is The Sleeper in our barn, hoping for a full appraisal in 2027.

Structural Improvements: Sprinkles has matured so nicely in her year off. She is a totally differnt goat as a two year old. Her Rump Width is now 6" so about a 35 on the Linear Scale. She should show improvement at LA's in 2027 in Rump. She has such nice length of body & it seems like her topline has improved. Most of my goats could use improvements in Front & Rear Legs. Voyager as a yearling has V's in Front & Rear Legs, his dam has E's in both. Sprinkles dam has E's in both Font & Rear Legs, but had +'s as a two year-old. Sprinkles may just surprise us in 2027 at Linear Appraisals.

Show vs Milk: This is a show breeding. Sprinkles's dam is very milky but her sire tends to produce very nice looking does that could use a cross to a strong milk lined buck.

Breakdown: Breeding one of my slow maturing Does to the son of a National Level Show Doe.

Live Cover: We went ahead and covered Sprinkles with Gardenviewfarm CC Raphael *B. We had difficulty inseminating Sprinkles. We could only get through the first ring despite her being in a raging heat. We had checked her prior to thawing straw and were able to get in. Sprinkles's Dam, Lola, settled on one straw in 2024.
